These Terms govern your use of PLC Simulator (the “Service”), operated from South Africa. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance
If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service. Continued use after we post revised Terms counts as acceptance of the revision. We’ll notify active account holders of material changes.
2. Account requirements
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and provide accurate registration details. You’re responsible for safeguarding your password and for everything that happens under your account.
3. Subscription & billing
Paid plans are month-to-month. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments; your card details are handled by them, not us. We never see or store your full card number. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime from the billing dashboard; you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are governed by our refund policy.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t:
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service.
- Upload content that’s illegal, infringing, or abusive.
- Use the Service to attack, interfere with, or overload our infrastructure.
- Share your account or use multiple accounts to evade usage limits.
5. Intellectual property
The ladder / Structured-Text code you write in the editor is yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and execute it on the Service so we can run the simulator, evaluate tests, and show you your history. We’ll never publish your code without your consent.
The Service itself — the platform, scenarios, simulation engine, and supporting material — belongs to us (or our licensors) and is protected by copyright. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you.
6. Termination
You can close your account at any time from your profile. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where practical. On termination we remove your account data per our privacy policy.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. It’s a practice / learning environment, not a certified industrial control system. Don’t use your simulator code to control real machinery without independent verification and a qualified engineer’s sign-off.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim tied to the Service is limited to what you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including lost profits, lost data, or downtime).
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes that can’t be resolved informally go to the South African courts.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms over time. The “Last updated” date at the top tells you when. Material changes go out by email to active accounts.
