VFD Preset Speeds

Preset speeds are stored frequency references selected by digital inputs or control bits. They provide repeatable operating points without an analog signal.

Why it matters

The behavior behind the parameter.

Preset speeds suit machines with a few defined rates, recipes or setup modes. The important commissioning work is proving the selection truth table, priority and transition behavior—not only entering three numbers.

  • The selected preset becomes the active reference.
  • Input combinations can select more presets than a single bit.
  • Jog, limits and stop commands can override a preset.
